Representatives of hotels, hostels and Alojamento Locais (holiday rentals) say they’re surprised and frustrated by the doubling of the tourist tax in Lisbon, Diário de Notícias reports. They complain that they weren’t consulted or warned about the increase to €4 a night, which was introduced on July 19.
